My kids had the following conversation at the store yesterday, very loudly, and within ear shot of several other customers:
John (4 years old): Barack Obama, and the devil, and the government are worser than anything else in the world.
Isaac (5 years old): Mom, John actually told me that he thinks Barack Obama is worse than the faggots.

Also, Christine, I don’t think “Obama sucks” is considered a heated debate. I’m also pretty sure that most seven year olds will follow the person getting the most attention, whether it be good or bad, and whether they agree or not. Oh yes, on the subject of those books, I’m pretty sure they were written to teach kids to be tolerant of people who are different than them, and maybe even help them mature into young adults who don’t look down on people for being different.
The world is a very diverse place, but some people are so narrowminded, they preach words of hate to their children, creating more murderers, and violent religous fanatics. It saddens me that someone who claims to be close to God can be such an elitist moron. I look forward to the day when we can relocate all the racists, homophobes, violent/hateful religous fanatics, murderers, rapists, and child molesters to the moon. That day will probably never come, but a man can dream.
