Let me start off by saying that this is the first, and last time I will ever post my thoughts on this subject. One, it’s too fucking one sided with there being fourteen fucking Final Fantasy characters. The only FF character that deserves to be included is Kefka, Auron is acceptable, but that should be it. Instead, the contest always seems to include the two most angsty piles of shit: Cloud and Sephiroth. Good lord, if there were ever two uber powerful fanboy/girl magnets, these two are it. It makes me sick.
Two, over half of the votes go to some fangirl’s fictional ‘bishie’ based on how cute he is, or some crap like that. Votes based on how the characters would actually fair against one another aren’t important, some pre-teen’s sexual fantasies about that character are. Logic goes right out the fucking window to make way for horny teenagers. Doesn’t Cloud win every time because some hory female registered a bunch of accounts and voted for him while putting her CloudXOC(Self Insert Mary Sue) fic on hold?
I understand that this contest was created so the people of Gamefaqs can have some fun, but it’s become an unholy clusterfuck of fanbrats arguing amongst themselves and taking this way to seriously. What exactly will a fictional popularity contest accomplish? Seriously, why the fuck should anyone care if Sephiroth is just misunderstood, and not an emo mama’s boy who failed to blow up the world when he threw a hissy fit? It’s not like having some pretty boy claimed winner over more deserving characters will somehow matter.
